Lakai: Fully Flaired Intro

January 29th, 2008

Surprise!

Love this intro to a new Lakai video. I’m a sucker for slow motion. You’ll have to watch to see what else they have up their sleeve.

Osiris - Feed the Need

January 25th, 2008

Hungry?

The newest video from Osiris is pretty good, especially considering Pablito found it as a freebie in a new skate mag. I especially like Stu Graham’s part with that sick footplant on the Funnel Tunnel in Reedsport. There’s also a lot of crazy downhill stuff - steep, slick, cobbled downhills. Those guys are freakin nuts.

Airspeed’s Decorative Concrete

January 12th, 2008

Airspeed’s Skatepark Artforms

Here’s a cool mini documentary about Airspeed Skateparks created by Concrete Decor magazine. They talk a bit about Airspeed’s design ideas and how they are working with decorative concrete like stamped tiles. Some cool construction footage and skating, too.

Rodney Mullen at Tomford (1990)

January 2nd, 2008

Yeah

Stumbled on this vlip of Rodney Mullen doing his flat-land dance at Romford skatepark in the UK. It’s a rare occurence when I find a Mullen clip that I have not seen before so I thought I would post it here. Rodney is amazing as usual. I especially like that 1 footed, 360 shuvit to manual. There must be a hundred folks watchin him skate at thie legendary spot.

Whose Bail Is It, Anyway?

January 1st, 2008

Ouch.

I don’t watch a lot of video on TV anymore, but I do have a big collection of Whose Line Is It Anyway shows. Ryan Styles and Colin Mochrie are pretty damn funny. Stumbled on this skit from the show that includes some brutal skateboarding bails. They get so caught up watching the wrecks that they forget to do their act.
