Masters of the Concrete Wave

The mad genuises at Airspeed Skateparks have given birth to another organic, concrete, over-vert skatepark. Good news - especially if you live near Johannesburg, Africa.

Brightwater Commons Skatepark is done, including the first cradle on the African continent. Grand opening was Saturday Nov 12 at noon. Huge gratitude and props to the Sapphire Pools crew that adopted Geth as one of their own, and to Gavin Powell and Boogaloos for organizing this project.

I haven’t seen any photos of the finished park, but here’s one of the early design ideas for the park. Residents of Dublin, Ireland and Nederland, Colorado can look forward to some fresh ‘crete in their towns, too. They are finalzing plans in Nederland and I think construction starts in Ireland early next year. Right on Airspeed! Spread that Oregon concrete love around.
