I think that Ryan Sheckler may be the next big pro skater.I've noticed a lot of kids switching fromm the Shawn White haircut to the Ryan Sheckler. ;) A subtle difference, but a a good indicator of who's more popular. After all, Ryan is an amazing skater. How old is Ryan Shecker? He's just 17 - barely old enough to drive but still old enough to skate his way into pro-ville.

Ryan Sheckler Biography"Sheckler's career took shape during the summer of 1995, when Sheckler's dad built him and his friends a new quarter pipe along with a few other additions making it a small skate park. A few years later, he joined the CASL (California Amateur Skateboarding League) and entered one of their contest and won. He idolized Tony Hawk and wanted to invite him to his 7th birthday party. Hawk attended the party and took some time to practice with Sheckler. He picked up his first eye wear sponsor from Arnette. The same company was sponsoring Tony Hawk. "
Upon turning pro, he states "Haters come out of the wood work! They spread hate about you, your family and your friends like mad. That is a very new to me. I just can’t figure out why people hate on people they don’t know". |
