Toledo Construction Pics
Airspeed Skateparks is nearly finished with their newest skatepark in Toledo, Oregon!
I’ve been going up there once twice a week during the construction and the place is looking sweet. All sorts of organic curves, lots of hips, little kickers, ledges, and general cement love. Not to mention the faux-rock castle wall that surrounds the whole park.
I am seriously awed by the Airspeed Crew. I’ve always been impressed with their parks, but watching them create one has been a whole new experience. These guys - and girls! - really know what they are doing. They are a like a team of artists working on giant sculpture made of metal, dirt, cement, and hard work.
Opening day is scheduled for June 18th, as far as I know. I’ll post more details when I know for sure. It should be a pretty big shin-dig, since the city and the Major are really psyched about the park.

All “shallow-side” pics and panos…. where’s the other side? I know there is one. FUCK…. If I have a job by then and then have to wiggle my way out of work to make it to the opening, well then, so be it!

yeah, I know. These aren’t the greatest pics. I’ve been concentrating on the video…at least that’s my excuse. The Deep End is pretty much finished, I just haven’t gone through my footage to get the pics yet.
Cool. I’m a ‘video clip of the month’.
hehe. I’m working on a tape right now to submit to that Hammersurf Proven Festival. It’s gotta be submitted in the next week…
